PROPOSED COURSE IN MARMARIS, TURKEY
Dr Hakan Coker, a
Turkish obstetrician/HypnoBirthing® Practitioner who lives
and works in Marmaris intends to host a course 30th
April-3rd May 2009. We are asking for notes of interest from
midwives, doulas, birth professionals as well as
hypnotherapists from the UK. Dr Coker, who trained as a
HypnoBirthing® Practitioner in UK, champions normal birth in
Turkey where caesarean rates can reach almost 90%. This is a
rare opportunity to combine a holiday with a four day course
in very relaxing surroundings.
Marie Mongan,
Founder of HypnoBirthing®, fully supports this course and,
after successful completion of the course and written
assessments, participants will become Certified
HypnoBirthing® Practitioners.
Dr Coker will
teach the "Introduction to Birthing Basics" and Renee will
teach the "Introduction to Hypnosis for Birthing" and also
the HypnoBirthing® Workshop.

Interest in the
Marmaris HypnoBirthing®
Practioner course has been high, both in th UK, Turkey and
beyond. Therefore the course will run on the dates planned -
30th April-3rd May 2009.
Final details
regarding venue, hotel etc. are being discussed. We
hope that it will be possible for HypnoBirthing® students to stay in the same hotel if
they wish.

ANTENATAL COURSE FOR
PARENTS
This course runs on a regular basis in
the Stirling area.
The pregnant mum and her birth companion
- often the baby's dad, but can be anyone the mum is
comfortable with - attend a twelve and a half hour course
run over 5 sessions.
Couples learn breathing techniques, visualisations,
physical and mental exercises and, of course, self-hypnosis.
This is a complete ante-natal course and
is really enjoyable as the birth of your baby can be.
The course fee is £300 per couple,
which includes textbook, 2 relaxation CD's, workbook
and twelve and a half hours of tuition.

Renee is one of two HypnoBirthing Faculty
members running HypnoBirthing Practitioner courses.
Renee completed her last course in Swindon
Western General Hospital, during March. HypnoBirthing
students attended from over the UK and beyond including
the Channel Islands and Turkey. "The next course will be held on 11th-14th September 2008 in Stirling Royal Infirmary, Scotland".
The first two days consist of either:

- Introduction to Hypnosis for Birthing

The second two days, both classes come
together to study:
- HypnoBirthing(r)
Practitioner Workshop
After successful completion of the course
assessments, students become Certified HypnoBirthing(r)
Practitioners and go on to teach HypnoBirthing®-
The Mongan Method to birthing couples.
The cost of the four day course is £600,
which, after certification, includes Membership of the
HypnoBirthing(r) Institute for one year.
